Your Name: Grace Reotutar

Project Title: In with NetBook and Audacity; Out with Notebook and Pencil

Project Focus: Device Capability Review and Use of Mobile Devices-Software-Services

Project Description:
In this project, I will take notes by using a Netbook and a free web service, Audacity . I will use a different method in taking class notes, replacing the traditional paper and pencil with a mini laptop and an audio editor to record class lectures. I think this project is important because it will demonstrate how can a Netbook and Audacity can be used in the classroom. Audacity will also allow me to save the class recording to an mp3 format, which can easily be shared with other students, encouraging class collaboration.

After doing this project, I hope to learn the basics in recording, editing and saving audios using Audacity and a Netbook.

Project Artifacts:
1. I will post the actual audio from the class.
2. Users should be able to listen to the audio (podcast).
3. Posting the actual audio from the class recording and allowing others to hear it indicates my personal engagement with the project.
